About this Role:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on facility equipment, systems, and infrastructure. You will work closely with facility managers, project teams, and other trades to keep operations running safely and efficiently, responding quickly to maintenance needs as they arise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime
- Conduct routine inspections of facility systems and equipment to identify potential issues before they escalate
- Complete work orders in a timely manner, documenting work performed, parts used, and follow-up needs
- Support installation, setup, and relocation of equipment and machinery as needed
- Maintain an inventory of maintenance supplies, parts, and tools; place orders as needed
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests, including after-hours or on-call situations
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety regulations, codes, and company policies
- Coordinate with outside contractors and vendors for specialized repairs or servicing
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs and equipment service records
Qualifications/Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a maintenance-related trade preferred
- 2+ years of experience in facility, industrial, or building maintenance
- Working knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Additional Requirements / Skills / Working Hours / Compensation Range
- Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying environmental conditions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with maintenance work
- Availability for on-call or after-hours emergency response as needed
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Must be able to pass a background check and, where applicable, a drug screening in accordance with client and project requirements
