How you’ll make an impact
1. You will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems in accordance with company policies, national regulations, and international standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO50001) also conduct regular risk assessments, hazard identification, and safety audits across all operational areas to identify potential risks and recommend corrective actions.
2. You will assist in investigating incidents, accidents, and near-misses, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence also prepare and deliver HSE training programs to employees at all levels, promoting a strong safety culture and awareness.
3. You will assist in HSE training and cultural promotion, including conducting employee-level safety education, contractor safety training, annual training, and participating in the planning of special HSE activities, etc.
4. You will monitor and analyze HSE performance metrics, prepare detailed reports, and present findings to management for continuous improvement and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
5. You will liaise with regulatory bodies, external auditors, and other stakeholders on HSE matters. Also manage contractor safety.
6. You will stay updated on new HSE legislation, industry best practices, and technological advancements to continually enhance company HSE performance.
7. You will assist in organizing various HSE emergency evacuation drills, promptly report responses to emergencies, and in case of any emergency, respond according to the required emergency response procedures.
8. You will be responsible for ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
9. Living Hitachi Energy’s core values safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business.
10. You will handle other HSE-related tasks assigned by the department.
Your background
1. You hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience as an HSE Engineer or similar role in a manufacturing, engineering, or industrial environment.
3. In-depth knowledge of local and international HSE regulations and standards, Professional certification is highly desirable.
4. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify hazards and implement effective control measures also should have the ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
5. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence personnel at all levels.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
7. Good English language skills.
