The Senior Lead HSE Auditor will be responsible for planning, conducting, and reporting on comprehensive Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) audits across Hitachi Energy operations to ensure compliance and adequate management and leadership engagement with the HSE Operating System (HSE OS). This role involves identifying areas for improvement, recommending corrective actions, and identifying best practices to enhance overall HSE performance.
Job Responsibilities:**
* Lead and execute complex HSE audits independently or as part of a team, covering a wide range of operational activities and facilities.
* Develop detailed audit plans, including scope, objectives, criteria, and methodologies, in accordance with established auditing standards and protocols.
* Conduct thorough on-site inspections, interviews with personnel at all levels, and review of documentation and records to assess HSE management systems and performance.
* Identify non-conformities, potential risks, and opportunities for improvement related to occupational health, safety, environmental protection, and sustainability.
* Prepare clear, concise, and comprehensive audit reports, detailing findings, and practical recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
* Present audit findings and recommendations to relevant stakeholders, including senior management, site leadership, and HSE committees.
** Contribute to the continuous improvement of Hitachi Energy's HSE audit programs, methodologies, and tools.
* * Provide mentorship and guidance to junior auditors and other HSE professionals.
* Support incident investigations and risk assessments as required.
Job Qualifications:**
· Very high level of integrity
· Ability and willingness to travel regionally at least 60% of the time, potentially on short notice
· Pragmatic, action- and result-oriented
· State-of-the-art expertise in audit technics
· Expertise in related HSE scope and regional regulatory framework
· Lean manufacturing and operational excellence skills
· Knowledge in occupational health and process safety
· Skilled in environmental management and security
· Industrial experience in both project/service and manufacturing activities within a global organization
· Proven experience as a lead auditor
· Excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
· Demonstrated audit experience with behaviors and attitudes in line with ISO19011.
· A good understanding of ISO45001:2018, ISO14001:2026 and ISO 50001:2018
· Fluent in both English and one (at a minimum) pertinent language for Hitachi Energy operations in the region
