We are in the High Voltage Product group within Hitachi Energy, a leading specialist for power distribution and transmission. In our unit, the Gas Insulated Switchgears (GIS) – based in Zürich-Oerlikon, development and production of different GIS products are managed globally. We ensure high reliability of our systems by using state-of-the-art development tools and methods.
We are looking for someone to strengthen our GIS Project Manager team here in Zürich-Oerlikon. You will become part of a global team that operates from Switzerland, India and USA with very diverse backgrounds and experience as well. The position offers a lot of personal and professional development opportunities with flexible work possibilities – home office within Switzerland along with international customer exposure. You will represent Hitachi Energy towards our customers and manage GIS projects end to end.

How you’ll make an impact
Lead complex projects, managing all phases from sales handover to project closure
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring clear communication
Serve as the primary contact for international customers, leading meetings and factory acceptance tests
Identify, assess, and manage project risks while pursuing opportunities
Monitor project progress, resources, and financials effectively
Handle change, claim, and risk management, and report financials to the controlling team
Contribute to process improvements and participate in strategic initiatives
Your background
Min. 5 years of experience as a Project Manager in an industrial environment
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective stakeholder engagement
Experience in leading customer meetings and presentations
Strong understanding of risk management, financial reporting, and budget control
Professional certifications are highly valuable
Fluent in German or French, English is mandatory
