IT Service Operations Engineer

Role Description & Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Technical Support:
- Install, configure, image, and deploy Windows 11 laptops/desktops using standard enterprise build processes.
- Perform troubleshooting related to OS performance, boot issues, BSODs, driver conflicts, Windows updates, and application compatibility.
- Configure and support local and domain user profiles, BitLocker, Secure Boot, and TPM-related settings.
- Provide basic macOS administration including device setup, OS updates, application deployment, and troubleshooting of common macOS issues.
- Support Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Assist in deploying security baselines and endpoint configuration policies.
- Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and proxy-related connectivity issues.
- Diagnose and replace faulty laptop/desktop components including RAM, SSD/HDD, batteries, adapters, docking stations, and peripheral devices.
- Configure and troubleshoot printers, scanners, webcams, headsets, conference room equipment, and USB devices.
- Deploy VM, VDI machines as per business requirements
- Provide technical support to executives
IT Asset Management:
- Manage the complete lifecycle of IT assets, including procurement, receiving, tagging, allocation, transfer, repair, return, retirement, and disposal.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including laptops, desktops, monitors, mobile devices, peripherals, and software licenses.
- Ensure all asset information is accurately updated in the IT Asset Management (ITAM) system.
- Perform periodic physical asset verification and reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor software license usage and ensure compliance with licensing agreements.
- Generate periodic reports on asset inventory, utilization, lifecycle status, and compliance.
- Coordinate with procurement, finance, vendors, and internal IT teams for asset-related activities.
- Support internal and external IT asset audits by maintaining complete documentation and records.
- Track warranty status, ensure timely renewal of IT asset warranty contracts, software maintenance renewals
- Maintain adequate stock levels of standard IT hardware and accessories.
- Coordinate hardware repairs and warranty replacements with OEM vendors.
- Support employee onboarding, transfers, and offboarding activities by ensuring timely allocation and recovery of IT assets.
- Maintain proper documentation of asset movements and operational activities.
- Ensure secure storage, handling, and disposal of IT equipment in accordance with organizational security policies.
Qualifications:
Experience: Looking for 6-8 Years in IT Service Operations Engineer
Education: B.E/B.Tech or Graduate/Post graduate in related field
Technical Skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows 11
- Basic working knowledge of macOS, iOS and Android devices
- Good understanding of desktop and laptop hardware components, peripherals, and accessories.
- Understanding of software licensing concepts and compliance.
- Experience in inventory management, asset documentation, and reporting
