The Data Center Partnership Leader will be the dedicated owner for driving strategic interoperability and growth through partnerships and new business models. This role requires a dynamic leader who can orchestrate relationships across industry peers, technology partners, and customers to create new value and revenue streams. You will be accountable for executing key partnerships and piloting new growth platforms that expand Trane's position in the data center ecosystem.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Define and execute the comprehensive partnership strategy for the data center business.
- Own and advance strategic alliances with key technology players (e.g., NVIDIA), driving the joint development of reference designs, aligning multi-generational product roadmaps, and executing joint go-to-market (GTM) campaigns.
- Identify, evaluate, and commercialize innovative business models to capture new revenue streams.
- Establish and lead executive-level collaboration platforms, steering committees, and co-innovation councils with hyperscale and colocation operators. Deeply understand their evolving high-density compute roadmaps to proactively shape our system offerings.
- Expand and leverage relationships with key industry consortiums and standard bodies to position the company as a thought leader in data center sustainability, energy/water efficiency (PUE/WUE), and decarbonization.
- Expand relationships with organizations focused on data center sustainability and community activation.
- Drive accountability and results across all partnership and business development OKRs.
WHAT YOU WILL BRING: (MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- Proven track record of identifying, structuring, negotiating, and successfully managing complex, high-value partnerships, joint development agreements, memorandum or understandings (MoUs) or go-to-market alliances.
- Extensive experience in business development, strategic alliances, or corporate strategy, preferably in the technology sector.
- Proven track record of negotiating and managing complex partnerships.
- Strong financial acumen and experience evaluating new business models.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to drive change and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment serving mission critical customers
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Engineering background in data center/high-tech design is required.
- Experience with PLC controls is a plus.
- Experience with onsite power generation and/or backup power distribution is a plus.
- Knowledge of HVAC products, components, and systems is desired.
- Strong thermal/fluid energy and/or controls background is a plus.
- Strong technical skills with a natural curiosity and enthusiasm to learn and develop new skills.
- Technically creative yet grounded in real world feasibility.
- Able to perform thorough and objective analysis.
- Able to collaborate with and influence others
- Self-motivated and disciplined.
- Willing and able to transfer knowledge to other groups.
- Good stand-up skills in front of customers and the field sales force.

$113,600.00 - $235,500.00
