The Growth Operations sub-team serves as the engine room of Shopee’s user acquisition strategy. We sit at the intersection of Marketing, Product, and Data, transforming high-level growth hypotheses into live, scalable market interventions.
What you'll do
- Develop and own the quarterly growth roadmap, aligning user acquisition targets with Shopee’s broader business objectives.
- Analyze the entire user journey (Acquisition, Activation, Retention) to identify friction points and deploy experiments to improve conversion rates.
- Execute and sync growth levers across the Shopee ecosystem, including PNs, EDMs, and Social Media to ensure a unified user journey.
- Design and execute complex, multi-touchpoint growth loops, including referral programs, gamification features, and seasonal mega-campaigns for the assigned project
- Hands-on execution of A/B and multivariate tests on landing pages, checkout flows, and onboarding screens to reduce drop-off rates.
- Navigate internal compliance and legal requirements for new user incentives, ensuring all growth mechanics meet regional regulations.
- Lead collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Creative teams to build internal growth tools and automate repetitive marketing tasks.
- Coordinate with Regional teams to adapt global growth frameworks to local market nuances, ensuring execution is culturally relevant and technically sound.
- Collaborate with Data Engineers to ensure all new growth features have the correct tracking events tagged and mapped in the internal data warehouse.
- Own the growth dashboard; perform deep-dive analytics into campaign performance and ROI to determine which levers to scale or kill.
- Oversee the project’s budget, ensuring optimal allocation across different channels and experiments to maintain a healthy CAC/ CPMAU
- Stay ahead of e-commerce trends and competitor moves to pivot strategies in a highly volatile market.
- Assist in pulling daily or weekly performance numbers to help the team decide which experiments to scale
Requirements
- Strategic Mindset: Proven ability to not just execute, but to build a cohesive growth strategy from scratch using data and market insights.
- Analytical Proficiency: Strong experience Excel and Powerpoint
- Project Ownership: 3–5 years of experience in Growth, Performance Marketing, or Product Management, ideally within the e-commerce or tech sector.
- Experimentation Rigor: Deep understanding of A/B testing methodologies and the ability to design statistically significant experiments.
- Leadership Qualities: Experience managing stakeholders at various levels and the ability to mentor junior or temporary staff.
- Technical Breadth: Familiarity with marketing automation
