We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join this team in the role SVP Sustainable Finance & Transition.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the execution of sustainable finance and transition commercialization strategy through acquiring quality clients, broadening existing relationships and retaining clients.
- Work closely with product partners and coverage team to ensure a well-coordinated approach to target clients and a clear understanding of the business opportunities and returns in Sustainable Finance and Transition Agenda.
- Deliver best in class client experience to clients ensuring their needs are fully understood and met through a variety of strategic and complex solutions.
- Ensure high quality lending across the portfolio, safeguard the Bank from potential loss, maintain credit standards, maintain high level of compliance and minimize operational, credit and reputational risks.
- Establish and maintain networks for collaboration with both external parties and within internal parties which include other HSBC businesses, supporting creation of solutions to customer needs that span national and product boundaries and regulatory environments.
- Achieve key performance indicators as determined.
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
- Demonstrated knowledge of Clients Sustainability agenda and how this can be used to meet business needs as well as aligned with HSBC Sustainability policy.
- Demonstrated overall knowledge of banking operations, preferably sustainable finance and/or infrastructure Financing Structure/Transaction.
- Practical experience of transformation / change initiatives with project management experience.
- Financial and accounting acumen. Ability to develop financial models is an added value while understanding financial model is a must.
- Ability to manage and mitigate credit & reputational risk effectively.
- Knowledge of the external environment - regulatory, political, competitor and market
- Understanding of local operating markets and their corresponding span(s) of control
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills and interpersonal skills, with a proven track record in delivering presentations, engaging with internal / external stakeholders, and influencing change.
