Purpose
This role is central to strengthening HBAP’s crisis readiness and ensuring we can navigate – and emerge stronger from – periods of severe stress. As the Recovery & Restructuring Planning Lead, you will shape and continuously evolve HBAP’s recovery and restructuring plans, partnering closely with HSBC Group to build the tools that underpin confident decision-making when it matters most.
You will bring together recovery actions, restructuring options and execution playbooks into a single, coherent and regulator-ready framework – designed to support the timely restoration of viability under extreme scenarios. Working across a broad and senior stakeholder set, you will influence the strategic choices and recommendations that progress through the Operating Committee and ultimately to the Board.

- [Regulatory engagement] Act as day-to-day regulatory liaison to the HKMA supervisory team covering HSBC’s recovery planning
- [Risk monitoring] Design, calibrate and maintain recovery indicators and triggers, including clear reporting, escalation and decision-support routines
- [Execution discipline] Own timelines and outputs end-to-end, anticipating dependencies and securing inputs across stakeholders with pace
- [People management] Provide day-to-day direction to team members and coordinate contributors outside the team to deliver the recovery and restructuring planning portfolio
