Your Mission:
Join ClearEdge as a DevOps Engineer, where you will build, package, promote, and operate the infrastructure behind one of our core AI-enabled products including CI/CD, containers, hardening, and both hybrid (on-prem/cloud) and air-gapped deployment paths, supporting AI services and application platforms built with tech like Postgres, RAG, and vector stores. Delivery is AI-assisted, and you own the pipelines, automation, and outcomes.
You will support and enhance a containerized application stack, deploying and operating identity/RBAC, audit logging, encryption, and observability in production, and automating complex processes with both deterministic and non-deterministic tools.
You Will Excel in This Role If You Are:
Experienced with Infrastructure-as-Code practices and tooling
Skilled in containerized and orchestrated deployments, and comfortable in Linux environments
Fluent with AI-native IDEs and comfortable using them as your default way of working
Strong in version control habits
Comfortable working in hybrid (on-prem/cloud) and air-gapped environments
Familiar with deploying and operating apps in the TypeScript/Python/React ecosystem
Capable of automating deployment and configuration management processes, using both deterministic scripting and AI-assisted/agentic tools
Experienced troubleshooting deployment and infrastructure issues
Comfortable scripting in Python or TypeScript, with tech like Postgres, RAG, and vector stores
A Day in the Life:
Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code solutions
Automate configuration management and deployment processes
Deploy and manage containerized applications within orchestration environments
Support secure system builds and hardened infrastructure baselines
Deploy and operate identity/RBAC, audit logging, encryption, and observability in production systems
Collaborate with system administrators, engineers, and security teams
Troubleshoot deployment, orchestration, and infrastructure issues
Support documentation and security accreditation activities
Support development efforts in Python or TypeScript as needed
What We Are Expecting From You:
Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance; U.S. citizenship
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (4 years of experience may substitute)
2–5 years of experience as a DevOps or Software Engineer
Fluency with AI-native IDEs
Strong version control habits
Practical depth in hybrid deployment (on-prem and cloud), including air-gapped deployment, containers, Linux, and CI/CD
Experience with layered systems and how apps get deployed — language secondary; scripting/automation often in Python or TypeScript, using tech like Postgres, RAG, and vector stores
Familiarity with deploying/operating apps in the TypeScript/Python/React ecosystem
Understands how to deploy and operate identity/RBAC, audit logging, encryption, and observability in production systems
Implements pipelines and promotion paths; debugs and remediates with tools and automation
Understands how to automate complex processes with deterministic and non-deterministic tools
Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and/or Packer
Nice to Have:
Systems administration background or SSP accreditation experience
Infrastructure as Code experience at production scale
Production observability stack experience
Experience supporting RMF/ATO (hardening baselines, control evidence, vulnerability remediation)
Experience with physical security or facility accreditation practices, such as ICD 705 or similar frameworks
Familiarity with tools used by security and compliance teams
