Amazon MGM Studios is seeking a talented, creative, and self-motivated publicity professional to join the Amazon MGM Studios Series PR team as a Publicity Coordinator. This individual is responsible for supporting the execution of publicity campaigns for Amazon Original Series and must be highly organized. You will work closely with senior members of the team to navigate cross-functional initiatives and dive into the details of various internal and external requests. Excellent written, verbal, and organizational skills are required, as well as the ability to collaborate and be an effective team player in a fast-paced environment.
This individual will be based in New York and report to the Publicity Principal, while supporting the broader Series PR team at Amazon MGM Studios.
Key job responsibilities
-Support the senior PR team on series campaigns, including building and managing talent itineraries, booking glam, coordinating travel, distributing and managing screener access, and compiling coverage reports
-Coordinate logistics for talent appearances for press and promotional purposes, both domestically and globally
-Support the execution of in-person and virtual press junkets and premiere events
-Help track and maintain series budgets and campaign success metrics
-Assist in developing written publicity materials
-Keep current on trends, issues and news about both the business and consumer worlds of television and entertainment in general
-Create new vendors and purchase orders; PO Troubleshooting
A day in the life
In this role, the candidate will interact with various internal and external stakeholders throughout any given campaign. This could range from attending internal meetings with cross-team colleagues, working with representatives for talent in arranging travel, negotiating glam/styling rates, working with senior team members to facilitate requests from the media with tight deadlines, and managing budget tracking for senior team members across complex campaigns.
Basic Qualifications
- 1+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in television or film industry; assisting at an agency, studio, streamer or network
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of entertainment industry trends and players
- Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience working in fast paced environments, and managing workload even during times of stress, or escalated activity
- Willingness to work hard and deliver on challenging assignments, even when at times it is outside the scope of the role
- Willingness/availability to travel and work extended hours, including weekends when necessary
- Extremely detail-oriented; can prioritize and handle multiple assignments at any given time while maintaining commitment to deadlines, in a fast-paced, high-tech company

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
