Job Description
Visa University seeks a senior, commercially minded Learning Consultant to drive client growth across LAC by converting learning needs into AI-enabled capability-building programs. The role partners with clients and Visa teams to diagnose skill gaps, package existing curriculum, tailor solutions, and build skills for the evolving payments and AI ecosystem.
The ideal candidate brings expertise in learning strategy, consulting, instructional design, AI-enabled learning, and business development, with the ability to create scalable frameworks, customize Visa University content, and align learning experiences to client priorities while managing revenue, expenses, margins, and growth programs.
Reporting to the LAC Visa University Head, this role serves as a strategic learning advisor and execution leader, combining client credibility, commercial discipline, human-centered design, and practical AI fluency to help clients build future-ready capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the end-to-end development and commercialization of Visa University learning solutions across assigned LAC markets, integrating AI-enabled design, skills-based capability building, delivery, measurement, and continuous evolution.
Client needs discovery and business alignment
- Partner with clients and internal teams to identify business goals, capability gaps, and priority learning needs.
- Lead discovery using consulting and human-centered methods to define upskilling opportunities.
- Translate payments, AI, innovation, and industry trends into relevant client learning opportunities.
- Build trusted relationships with clients and internal partners across the engagement lifecycle.
Solution packaging, value proposition, and commercialization
- Manage go-to-market strategy, value proposition, pipeline, and revenue targets for learning solutions.
- Package Visa University, VCA, AI, and cross-functional assets into ready-to-deploy, scalable programs.
- Create reusable sales materials, proposal toolkits, frameworks, and packaged offerings.
- Leverage global Visa University support to reuse assets, localize selectively, and scale the practice.

- Collaborate with regional teams to qualify opportunities, support proposals, and formalize deals.
- Track pipeline, revenue, expenses, margins, scorecard metrics, and deal progress.
Program design, execution, feedback, and continuous evolution
- Design scalable, AI-enabled learning solutions tailored to client roles, priorities, and learner needs.
- Develop repeatable processes, templates, documentation, and delivery approaches.
- Apply AI responsibly to accelerate design, personalize learning, and strengthen measurable impact.
- Coordinate delivery with internal teams, facilitators, vendors, and stakeholders while managing roles, budget, and timelines.
- Define evaluation approaches using KPIs, learner insights, and client feedback.
- Use feedback and market learnings to improve programs, proposals, and the Learning Consulting practice.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- 8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
Preferred Qualifications:
- 9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or 7 or more relevant years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 3 or more years of experience with a PhD
- Education and Industry Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Instructional Design, Education, Technology, Data, or a related field; master’s degree a plus.
- 10+ years in learning, consulting, sales, business development, or digital transformation.
- Payments experience and knowledge of AI, digital payments, fraud, risk, data, and customer experience.
- Learning Strategy and Program Design:
- Experience in learning needs analysis, solution design, program delivery, and evaluation.
- Proven track record designing successful training programs.
- Consulting experience translating client needs into learning strategies.
- Ability to use AI to improve efficiency, personalization, localization, content creation, and measurement.
- Business Leadership and Commercial Management:
- Strong business acumen with practice-building experience.
- Business development and sales experience.
- Experience managing budgets, forecasts, revenue, expenses, and sales reporting.
- Hands-on, proactive, creative, commercially minded, and curious.
- AI-fluent and tech-savvy across learning topics.
- Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Experience working across matrixed regional and global teams.
- Experience leading teams and fostering development and smart risk-taking.

- Fluent in Spanish and English; Portuguese language skills are a plus.
