Job Description
Overview:
Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) is Visa's consulting division, serving Visa's clients (including card issuers, acquirers and merchants) and solving their strategic problems focused on improving performance. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, payments, data analytics, marketing, operational and macroeconomics, VCA drives high impact and tangible financial results.
Within VCA, VCA Implementation Services brings these strategies to life by delivering the operational capabilities and executional excellence our clients need.
Cards benefits team within VCA Implementation Services (VIS) manages the deployment of cards benefits programs for Visa’s clients in AP. This is to support Visa’s clients with differentiated card propositions and stay relevant to and drive preference amongst consumers.
The role-holder will be part of the Cards benefits team within VIS and will take ownership of few AP markets for driving card benefits programs for clients.
This role involves a significant component of cross-functional work and will require the Senior Manager to work closely with the VCA market teams, Product, Sourcing to identify business development opportunities, lead pitches and foster client relationships to grow new card benefits revenue. Additionally you will work with new partners to create new benefits capabilities.
What a Senior Manager does at Visa:
As a Senior Manager in Singapore, you will act as the cards benefits lead to deliver benefits programs within broader consulting engagements for our key issuing, acquiring, merchant & fintech clients.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for market teams and issuing/acquiring/merchant/fintech bank clients across assigned markets, building trusted, long-term partnerships and ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention
- Meet and exceed revenue targets by identifying and pursuing opportunities to sell and cross-sell card benefits solutions (e.g., lounge access, lodging benefits, concierge, lifestyle perks)
- Understand client’s strategic goals, card portfolio needs, and customer segments to tailor and position card benefits offerings that drive card usage, engagement, and differentiation
- Collaborate closely with internal teams - including product, operations, sourcing, and legal to ensure seamless onboarding, implementation, and ongoing delivery of benefits services
- Track and report on key metrics such as benefits utilization, activation rates, revenue contribution, providing insights and recommendations to both clients and internal leadership.
- Proactively address and resolve client concerns, operational challenges, or service escalations to maintain strong relationships and protect the company’s reputation
- Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging card benefits to advise clients on product enhancements, identify and select new benefits vendors and partnerships to maintain a competitive edge
- Manage contract renewals, negotiations, and expansions, ensuring timely renewals and growth in account value over time.
Projects you will be a part of:
- Formation of a team dedicated to delivering innovative offerings leveraging Visa data and market research to identify trends and opportunities for compelling card benefits
- Work with the Consulting and Product team to define card benefits program that can help us transform the way issuer and Visa drive PV and engagement amongst Visa cardholders
- Development and maintenance of relationships with merchants and third-party suppliers
- Negotiation of terms and agreements to secure relevant benefits for Visa’s clients at compelling terms to ensure card benefits provision drives payment volume as well as Value Added Service revenue.
- Collaborate with stakeholders within VCA, Regional Products & Solutions, and in-market counterparts to align benefits with business goals and strategies
- Monitor and evaluate the performance of secured benefits, report on these findings and make recommend changes to strategy as may be necessary to clients
- Manage the budget, financial planning and forecasting for benefits.
*Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications
What you will need:
- Minimum 8+ years of experience in financial services or with loyalty programs across operations, strategy development and execution is desirable
- Minimum 6+ years of strong experience utilising analytical and project management skills
- Curious, self-starter, fast learner and critical thinker able to imagine and absorb new market developments and evolving client needs and translate those into practical benefits offerings
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships, with proven negotiation and communication skills, used to secure deals and offers, ideally from merchants and third parties
- Strong team player internally and with clients, working independently to coordinate cross functional activities, obtaining critical support from multiple stakeholders
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities
- Able to work independently, yet seamlessly integrate and manage diverse groups and functions organized within different organizational reporting lines
