HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
The Sr. Director, HR Business Partner – Production & Warehouse is responsible for leading HR strategy and execution across a multi-site, high-volume production and distribution network. This role ensures consistent, high-quality HR delivery that strengthens workforce stability, frontline leadership capability, and operational performance.
You will lead a team of HR Business Partners / HR Managers supporting site operations and serve as the primary HR leader for plant and warehouse environments. This role translates enterprise HR strategy into disciplined, repeatable execution across locations, enabling operational effectiveness, workforce scalability, and leadership accountability.
This role operates in a fast-paced, frontline environment requiring strong execution discipline, leadership credibility, and the ability to manage competing operational priorities with consistency and speed.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Field HR Leadership & Execution
Lead and develop a team of HRBPs and HR Managers supporting production and warehouse sites
Establish consistent HR standards and operating rhythms across all locations (e.g., performance management, attendance, employee relations)
Ensure consistent execution of core HR processes in high-volume, operational environments
Drive consistency in employee experience across geographically dispersed sites
Own site-level HR decision-making, ensuring timely, consistent, and business-aligned outcomes across locations
Workforce Stability & Operational Performance
Partner with site and operations leadership to ensure workforce plans support production, throughput, and service requirements
Own and improve key workforce indicators including staffing levels, turnover (especially critical roles), and attendance
Strengthen workforce planning discipline to support network optimization and site transitions
Identify and mitigate operational risk driven by workforce instability or reactive HR practices
Drive shift from reactive issue resolution to proactive workforce and leadership management
Frontline Leadership Capability
Build leadership capability for plant managers, supervisors, and frontline leaders
Implement structured leadership development programs for production and warehouse leadership populations
Reinforce leadership expectations, accountability, and behavior standards across sites
Support development of career pathing and internal mobility for frontline talent
Employee Relations & Compliance
Provide guidance and oversight on complex employee relations matters across sites
Ensure consistent, compliant application of policies and practices
Proactively address trends in engagement, performance, and workplace issues before escalation
HR Program Implementation & Change Execution
Drive disciplined adoption and sustained utilization of enterprise HR programs, tools, and systems within production and warehouse environments
Lead site-level change execution tied to transformation initiatives (e.g., network optimization, system implementations)
Partner with HR Centers of Excellence to tailor solutions for frontline operational environments
Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement
Leverage workforce analytics to identify trends and inform decision-making at site and regional levels
Improve visibility into workforce health, leadership effectiveness, and engagement
Establish KPIs and reporting cadence aligned to operational and HR performance
Establish clear operating metrics and routines that reinforce accountability at site and leadership levels
Team & Scope
Leads HRBPs and HR Managers supporting production and warehouse sites (multi-site, multi-state; U.S. and expanding internationally)
Supports a workforce scaling from ~1,100 to ~3,500 employees across production and warehouse operations

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Coaches for impact; develops leaders through direct, actionable feedback and real-time coaching

Identifies patterns and anticipates risk; uses data and observation to proactively address workforce and leadership issues before escalation
Drives consistency without rigidity; standardizes practices while allowing for appropriate site-level adaptation
Influences without authority; aligns diverse site leaders and stakeholders toward common workforce and performance goals
Demonstrates resilience; sustains performance and decision quality in demanding, hands-on environments
Education, Certification and Experience
12+ years of progressive HR experience, with significant experience in manufacturing, distribution, or operational environments
5+ years leading HR teams across multiple locations
Demonstrated expertise in employee relations, workforce planning, and frontline leadership development
Strong operational acumen and ability to translate business needs into practical HR execution
Experience supporting high-volume, hourly workforce populations
