Are you looking for a unique role that bridges the social and financial sectors? Are you able to provide strategic and conceptual advice on social and environmental programmes, sustainable change and impact, strategic philanthropy, and foundation management? Do you understand the philanthropy ecosystem, including social finance? Are you skilled at building and nurturing strong, trust-based relationships, with proven personal business development experience in growing a base of substantial supporters and donors? We are seeking a Philanthropy Advisor to join our team, based in Hong Kong, working with Greater China–based and international philanthropists.
Reporting to the Head of Social Impact and Philanthropy, Greater China, you will be the interface for client related enquires on philanthropy in Greater China region. As an experienced professional with proven track record in both business development and philanthropy, you are expected to establish UBS philanthropy capabilities to position our bank as leading provider of philanthropy services within Greater China.
As a Philanthropy Advisor you will:
•Adapt the global philanthropy services approach to Greater China specific needs, and implement a structured philanthropy advisory process focused on clients from GWM, IB, and AM.
•Drive the systematic development of the business pipeline through CA/banker education, CRGs, client events, and positioning.
•Enable CAs to promote philanthropy and social finance offerings by leading internal training sessions and providing bespoke support.
•Generate business results and revenues from clients engaged in philanthropy services once the offering is established.
•Work with local management to position the business more positively within the industry.
•Provide input to development and execution of both global and regional initiatives such as UBS Collective Impact, Social Finance initiative, strategic partnerships and Optimus programs.
•Establish a robust knowledge base and thought leadership, including research and access to academics.

Your expertise
•Bachelor Degree with banking/ financial institution experience
•Industry experience in philanthropy with exposure in advising family office, institutional clients how to manage or structure their philanthropic engagements.
•A proven track-record in business development (strategy, planning, leadership, stakeholder management & communication).
•Able to act as a team player (able to work with and through teams and to engage external stakeholders).
•Be creative and have strong social and presentation skills.
•Be flexible and resilient to stressful situations.
•You’re curious to explore how AI can improve how we build, deliver, and optimize workflows. You do this with sound judgment – validating outputs and aligning with policies, risk standards, and ethical use.
