Position Description
Performs daily support tasks needed by Maintenance Department. This could include participating with problem-solving teams, developing standard work, preventive maintenance system/process improvements, and developing training content.
Identifies and develops better and more efficient ways for the Maintenance Department to support their direct-production customers.
Improves the efficiency and effectiveness of all Maintenance Department activities.
Essential Job Functions
Participates in department safety systems and processes (Connect and Engage, Concern Reporting, Daily Improvement, 5S).
Participates with department and site Continuous Improvement Activities using various improvement activity methods.
Develops and maintains Preventive Maintenance (PM) Instructions and Forms using Op Ex skills (standard work observations, time studies, etc.).
Attaches/uploads completed PM records to Apriso work orders.
Assists with converting Preventive Maintenance findings into action plans for equipment improvement (PM follow-up work order planning).
Administers PM auditing program.
Education, Experience & Skills
Two-year technical degree or equivalent certification/work experience
Capable user of Outlook, Excel, Word.
Able to efficiently author Technical Instructions based on Work Observations.
Familiarity with Mechanical and Electrical systems and principles.
Understanding of Lockout-Tagout, Electrical Safety, Machine Guarding.
Experience with Op-Ex/Lean principles is preferred.
Experience with Maintenance activities is preferred.
