Job Summary:
Responsible for developing, applying and maintaining quality standards for responsible product with adherence to both internal and external standards. Pursue the quality function excellent through continuous improvement
This position will manage and improve the flow of information regarding quality performance and customer impact, serve as the customer representative, and be the voice of the customer within the organization to drive a customer orientated quality culture and more effective resolution of quality problems.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Responsible for aligning and execution of quality strategy, setting section team goals and ensure its attainment.
- Lead Team on daily activities as related to Product Quality Engineering, inspection and supplier quality items where applicable
- Review and address all Customer Complaints as issued through Sales/Customers/Service for immediate Corrective Action.
- Develop and streamline quality process to align with regional and plant level focus.
- Lead, organize and motivate team to drive local quality related activities/initiatives including but not limited to productivity projects, NPD projects, etc.
- Partner with Product Management to execute new product delivery per company’s Product Development Process
- Provide an independent confirmation of product design, validation, and manufacturing processes to ensure conformance to voice of the customer (or meet voice of customer).
- Implement, review, and improve quality system procedures which support company’s strategic initiative to improve the customer experience and produce Delighted Customers.
- Promote TQM culture from quality team deep to plant level through training, quality awareness initiatives and recognition programs like quality stars, etc
- Provide consistent coaching to team members and develop a strong team demonstrating company value.
- Establish partnerships with key stakeholders (internally and externally) to influence others without direct authority.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- In the process of planning and carrying out their own work, consider and carry out EHS work simultaneously, improve the EHS management of the department, prevent and eliminate EHS accidents
Key Competencies:
- Bachelor degree or above, Major in Mechanical/Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
- Minimum six years’ experience in quality system practice, air-con industry experience, knowledge of GB,ASME, PED standard will be a plus.
- At least three years in management position of quality in an international mechanical company.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Familiar with refrigerant system.
- Strong ownership in quality improvements.
- Demonstrate leadership in a cross functional environment.
- Strong logical thinking and analytic ability
- Knowledge of MSA ,SPC, Control plan and 8D report and PDCA problem solving
