Where is the work:
On-Site (5 days)
Results-driven procurement and project leader with experience leading multiple cross-functional initiatives across complex manufacturing environments. Skilled in developing and executing project implementation plans that support procurement strategy, productivity, cost avoidance, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement. Proven ability to partner with commodity teams, engineering, quality, operations, and suppliers to drive sourcing, NPD, VAVE, resourcing, and supplier performance initiatives. Strong background in financial reporting, gap analysis, countermeasure development, and aligning business unit requirements with commodity strategies to exceed operational and financial targets.
What you will do:
- Lead multiple procurement projects across the Thermo King Trailer platform, driving implementation plans that support sourcing strategy, productivity, and continuous improvement goals.
- Partner with commodity teams and business stakeholders to develop project charters, execution plans, benefit breakdowns, and resource requirements.
- Manage active procurement initiatives involving resourcing, NPD, source changes, quality improvements, and VAVE programs.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders to meet project timelines, delivery expectations, and company financial objectives.
- Track and report procurement metrics including productivity, inflation, supplier quality, on-time delivery, and risk mitigation performance.
- Identify performance gaps, develop countermeasures, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues to leadership when needed.
- Support plant material and quality escalations, MDIs, and month-end financial reporting activities.
- Align commodity strategies with business unit priorities, engineering platforms, and product management requirements.
- Evaluate supplier capabilities against business needs to support supplier selection, relationship management, and contract execution.
- Participate in productivity gate reviews and ensure cross-functional resources are aligned to deliver project milestones.
- Represent procurement in VAVE and MMR events, driving actions and ensuring follow-through across teams.
What you will Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, finance, engineering, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, engineering, project management, operations, or related functions within a diversified industrial environment.
- Strong understanding of procurement processes from both operational and strategic leadership perspectives.
- Demonstrated ability to manage ambiguity, lead multiple priorities, and solve problems proactively with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical and financial acumen, including forecasting, productivity tracking, and inflation reporting.
- Proficiency with Excel, MS Project, PowerPoint, and other business tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong influencing and negotiation capabilities.
- Proven ability to build relationships, lead teams, and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Experience in international sourcing, supplier development, supplier quality, or supply chain leadership is a plus.
- Fluent English required; Spanish preferred.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%.
