Defines AI product strategy and roadmap across TMX and its affiliated entities, aligned to enterprise priorities and the portfolio direction set by the Chief AI & Data Officer.
Owns use-case definition end to end, from business problem through to a shippable, adopted product.
Translates the function's strategy into a prioritized delivery queue, making trade-off decisions across competing business demands.
Develops business cases for AI investment and secures funding alignment with the Chief AI & Data Officer.
Intake, Prioritization & Delivery
Owns the intake queue: captures, qualifies, and sequences AI demand from across the enterprise.
Sets and runs the delivery rhythm, ensuring the function ships the right thing, on time, and adopted.
Accountable for delivery outcomes against the prioritized queue, including where the build is executed by AI Engineering.
Manages delivery dependencies across AI Engineering, Data Infrastructure, and the AI Operations & Responsible AI function.
Team Leadership & Matrixed Delivery
Leads and develops the team of technical product owners, setting standards for product discipline, prioritization, and delivery.
Works closely with the Head of AI Engineering & Development as a core matrixed relationship: this role owns the prioritized queue and delivery accountability, Engineering owns the build and technical authority, and the two operate as a single delivery partnership.
Fosters a culture of accountability, business partnership, and outcome ownership across the product team.
Business Partnership
Serves as the primary interface between the AI & Data function and business-unit leadership on product status, roadmap, and delivery.
Builds and maintains partnerships across TMX and its affiliated entities so use cases reflect real business need and land in adoption.
Represents the AI product portfolio at enterprise business reviews.
Delivery Governance & Adoption
Partners with the AI Operations & Responsible AI function so products move cleanly through intake review, controls, and audit readiness.
Defines and tracks adoption and business-outcome metrics, closing the loop from delivery to realized value.
Skills and Experience
10+ years in technology product or delivery leadership, including direct experience delivering AI/ML or data products into production.
Track record of owning a product portfolio and delivery outcomes across multiple concurrent initiatives.
Strong understanding of AI/ML and Generative AI product patterns; able to define use cases and make build-vs-buy and prioritization calls with technical credibility.
Experience leading cross-functional teams and product owners, including delivering through teams that do not all report into the role (matrix delivery).
Demonstrated executive-level business partnership; able to influence business-unit leaders and represent a portfolio at enterprise reviews.
Experience in capital markets or the broader financial services industry is an asset; familiarity with the TMX context is a plus.
Experience with Agile product development and modern delivery practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, including experience presenting to senior leadership.
Strategic and conceptual thinker who is comfortable with ambiguity, pace, and scarce-resource trade-offs.
