Commercial Analyst Intern - SG SBS Business Development (Summer 2026)

About the team

SG SBS Business Development is the retail arm of Shopee. The Commercial Projects team of SG SBS Business Development is a cross-functional task force dedicated to driving strategic initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. In this role, you will play a key part in developing, analysing, and optimising pricing strategies that drive revenue growth, profitability, and competitive positioning across our product portfolio.

What you'll do

• Track and compare competitor prices on key products to ensure our pricing remains competitive
• Support pricing analysis by evaluating cost components to identify opportunities for improving the pricing strategy
• Monitor stock levels across product categories, highlighting overstocked or understocked items to assist with sales planning and promotional activities.
• Assist in selecting and nominating products for flash deals to maximise sales efficiency and promotional impact

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in data analytics, statistics, mathematics or any other relevant quantitative discipline
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel. Familiarity with Data Studio and SQL is a plus, though not a requirement
• Relevant experience in e-commerce and/or knowledge of FMCG/Electronics categories will be advantageous
• Strong business acumen, critical-thinking and ability to form actionable insights
• Excellent communication skills
• Full-time interns preferred (3-6 months)
