Join our Financial Management, People and Engagement group, a team which provides strategic advice that enables our businesses to make the best investment and financial management decisions.  

As part of this ten-week internship, you will:

Complete meaningful and challenging work allowing you to gain practical experience to tie into your theoretical knowledge from school.
Take part in an orientation where you’ll learn about Macquarie’s business groups with your fellow Macquarie interns and receive technical training.
Receive support and guidance from your manager and aligned mentor.
Participate in philanthropic and social events to connect you to our inclusive culture.
Present a project you worked on during the program to senior management.

As an intern in Financial Management, you’ll have the opportunity to develop your accounting skills and build your career as you work to provide financial, tax and treasury services to all areas of Macquarie.

Feel empowered to shape what’s possible for your career through a direct placement based on your interests and our business need in one of the following areas:

Finance & Tax provides financial management and control, regulatory reporting, tax, and business advisory services. Finance also has dedicated teams supporting each of Macquarie’s operating groups.

Group Treasury is responsible for capital and funding, liquidity and interest rate risk management of Macquarie’s balance sheet. The team also manages Macquarie’s liquid asset portfolio and is responsible for managing debt investor, rating agency and banking relationships.

You have a unique perspective. We want to hear it. This internship is for students expecting to graduate and complete your studies between December 2027 – June 2028.
You are a critical thinker with strong numerical skills and can articulate your thoughts and ideas clearly.
You like to collaborate with others and are comfortable building strong working relationships.
You have an interest in financial services and coursework in accounting, economics or finance.
You bring a proactive, resourceful, and positive attitude as well as a powerful work ethic.
You have a strong attention to detail with experience and comfort in Excel.
