Description:You will be the Sr. NC Programmer - Level 3 for the CNC Programming team which is responsible for developing and maintaining numeric‑control programs that support high‑precision aerospace production.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Sr. NC Programmer - Level 3 you will be responsible for creating, optimizing, and sustaining CNC code that drives critical manufacturing equipment.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Develop and validate NC programs for milling, turning, and drilling operations, ensuring compliance with engineering drawings and tolerances.
- Analyze machining results, troubleshoot process issues, and implement corrective actions to improve cycle time and part quality.
- Maintain and update machine parameters, tool libraries, and post‑processors to reflect new part designs and technology upgrades.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior programmers and shop‑floor operators on best‑practice coding techniques.
- Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to resolve non‑conformances and support continuous‑improvement initiatives.

This position is in Marietta, GA Discover Marietta.Basic Qualifications:Experience in G‑code/M‑code development, tool‑path optimization, and post‑processing for CNC machines with with CAM packages such as Mastercam and/or VERICUT.
Experience reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and work orders.
Experience with root‑cause (RCCA) troubleshooting of machining issues.
Desired Skills:Bachelors Degree 5+ years of professional experience
Strong analytical skills
5+ years experience with CAD/CAM Software
3+ years experience with Catia v5.
Working knowledge of mill, lathe, and waterjet machines.
Aero Industry experience working NC programming

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
