KPMG is currently seeking a Lead Engineer I, Data and Information Architecture to join our Advisory Digital organization.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver scalable, production-ready, cloud-first solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft 365 technologies
- Lead the architecture and implementation of AI-enabled solutions utilizing Microsoft Foundry, agentic frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and related technologies
- Develop and oversee containerized application platforms using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Container Apps, Istio, and container image management best practices
- Provide technical leadership by establishing architecture standards, influencing solution design decisions, and driving continuous improvements in delivery methodologies
- Ensure solutions adhere to security, networking, infrastructure, and software development best practices while maintaining reliability, scalability, and compliance
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, communicating complex technical concepts effectively and mentoring teams on emerging technologies and industry trends
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to uphold KPMG's respectful and courteous work environment
Qualifications:
- Minimum five years of recent professional experience in network administration, system administration, software development, information security, or related technical disciplines
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, engineering, or a related field or five years of equivalent practical experience is preferred or minimum of a high school diploma or GED is required
- Proven experience designing and delivering cloud-first solutions on Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, and Microsoft 365 platforms
- Hands-on experience implementing AI and modern application architectures, including Microsoft Foundry, agentic frameworks, and RAG-based solutions as well as strong technical expertise with containerization technologies, including AKS, Azure Container Apps, Istio, and container lifecycle management
- Experience with Microsoft and Azure data platforms, including Fabric, Power BI, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse, SQL Server, DocumentDB, and Azure Data Factory
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with demonstrated success influencing architecture decisions, establishing technical standards, and continuously adapting to emerging technologies
