As a Payment Lifecycle Associate I within Payments Operations, you will enhance our payment operations framework by streamlining processes, implementing new technologies, and developing operational functions, while managing payment processing across various products to ensure smooth fund transfers and reconcile purchase and sales options, futures, or securities. Leveraging your proficiency in automation, cybersecurity, and anti-fraud awareness, you will ensure the security and efficiency of our payment lifecycle. Your ability to manage stakeholders, influence decisions, and handle conflicts will drive mutually beneficial outcomes, while your strategic planning skills will guide our direction and resource allocation decisions. Additionally, your proficiency in AI/ML will be utilized to solve complex problems and enhance processes, applying your knowledge in market product and process improvement to optimize our operations.
Job responsibilities
- Provide overall supervision to the staff during their shift operating window
- Ensure that all work items are completed as per the agreed SLA
- Monitor the exceptions and ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner
- Identify opportunities for improving the efficiency of the process.
- Identify the training requirements of the team members and work with the VP on providing the required training
- Track the changes to the procedures and ensure that the team is fully aware of the changes
- Prepare the position of the Nostros as per the funding/projection requirement. Co-ordinate with the business and treasury teams to arrive at the appropriate funding requirements of the Nostro Account
- Perform reconciliation to identify the reason for the break and reach out to businesses to close the breaks. Support Global Treasury teams in the process of predicting and funding the banks cash positions across Asia, EMEA & WHEM
- Monitor & validate overdraft & credit interest charges
- Partner with Global projects team to ensure seamless rollouts of any enhancements and on or off boarding of any accounts from Cash Management systems
- Manage Stakeholders both internal and external.
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to perform under pressure
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a time-critical environment
Confidence to challenge, escalate, and influence decision-making
Solid understanding of risk and controls in an operational setting
Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders - Strong Excel skills, should be able to build/manage UT Macros
Preferred Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- FINRA Series 99 (or willingness to obtain within 6 months)
Experience in payments, cash management, or financial operations is advantageous
