As a Quality Engineer specializing in Mainframe Testing, you will focus on verifying that mainframe applications and systems function as intended.

You will create test scenarios and cases, execute them to validate the system's compliance with the specified requirements.

Your primary responsibilities will include

• Develop Test Scenarios: Create test scenarios and cases to ensure mainframe applications meet the necessary functionality and performance standards.
• Execute Testing: Execute test scenarios and cases to validate the system's compliance with the specified requirements using character-based mainframe screens, navigation, datasets, JCL, SDSF, and utilities.
• Validate System Compliance: Validate the system's compliance with the specified requirements, focusing on functional testing to ensure mainframe applications function as intended.
• Utilize Mainframe Tools: Use primary tools such as character-based mainframe screens, navigation, datasets, JCL, SDSF, and utilities to perform testing tasks.
• Mainframe Testing Exposure: Experience with testing mainframe applications and systems to ensure they function as intended, including creating test scenarios and cases to validate system compliance.
• Character-Based Mainframe Tools: Experience with primary tools such as character-based mainframe screens, navigation, datasets, JCL, SDSF, and utilities to perform testing tasks.
• Functional Testing Knowledge: Experience with functional testing principles and methodologies to ensure mainframe applications meet necessary functionality and performance standards.
• Test Scenario Development: Experience with developing test scenarios and cases to validate system compliance with specified requirements.
• Mainframe Application Knowledge: Experience with mainframe applications and systems, including understanding their functionality and performance standards.
• Mainframe Utilities Knowledge: Exposure to various mainframe utilities, including character-based mainframe screens, navigation, datasets, JCL, and SDSF, to support testing tasks.
• Advanced Functional Testing: Exposure to advanced functional testing principles and methodologies to ensure mainframe applications meet complex functionality and performance standards.
