The opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and skilled Project Manager Primary Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead the technical planning and execution of gas-insulated switchgear projects and ensure that engineering deliverables are completed on time, within scope and according to the required quality standards.
How you will make an impact
Plan and manage the Primary Engineering scope in GIS customer projects, including cost, schedule and scope of delivery
Coordinate technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholders
Prepare the technical detailing of the high-voltage part of gas-insulated switchgear
Create the required documentation for ordering, fabrication, assembly and customer approval
Order and configure project-specific material
Manage technical communication channels internally and externally
Work on quality cases and support improvement processes
Provide technical support during manufacturing, installation and commissioning until completion of on-site assembly
Travel occasionally for customer meetings or site visits
Your background
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field
Several years of relevant experience in project engineering, ideally with gas-insulated switchgear or high-voltage systems
Good understanding of engineering project execution, including scope, schedule, cost, quality, documentation and material ordering
Experience with CAD tools such as Creo or AutoCAD, as well as SAP and Microsoft Office
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify risks, clarify technical issues and drive solutions
Experience in coordinating internal and external stakeholders in an international environment
Ability to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departments
Clear and structured communication skills, with confidence in technical discussions with customers and internal stakeholders
Fluent in English; German or another language is an advantage
