The Government and public sector transactions services is part of EY's Government & Public Sector (GPS) Services which is a network of highly skilled professionals from assurance, tax, transaction and advisory services, devoted to serving the government and public sector organizations and institutions. 

The practice combines private sector leading practice with an understanding of the public sector’s diverse needs, focused on delivering improved public services. Government and public sector transactions services, sits under EY’s Transaction Advisory Services practice, a market-leading, multi-disciplinary team, working with leading businesses across a range of industries. This practice is in a unique position to deliver implementable strategies given the firm’s sector depth, transaction perspectives, and operational insights. 

The practice provides experience working with various sectors such as, Transport, Social & Health care, Education, Urban & Infrastructure, Economic Development Advisory , Water waste & Sanitation, Power & Utilities and Public Finance & Management.

SaT - TCF - Infrastructure Advisory :

Strategy and Transactions enables clients to reimagine ecosystems, reshape portfolios and reinvent for a better future. We help corporates, private equity, governments, sovereign wealth funds, private and family businesses, and educational institutions with their key financial issues. Your key responsibilities

Technical Excellence

 

• Support financial monitoring of funds for Central Sponsored Schemes of Govt. of India, Also able to overview the management of expenditure booking and utilization reporting. Assist in preparation and scrutiny of financial statements, UC-related inputs, fund-position notes and financial review reports. Coordinate with divisions/districts on expenditure data, reconciliation, outstanding issues and compliance requirements. Support monitoring of central/state share, component-wise utilization and financial progress of schemes. Able to assist client in preparation of budget notes, fund requirement statements and financial projections. Support finance-related reporting under JJM-IMIS and other departmental systems. Assist in SNA/SPARSH-related processes, fund-flow monitoring and documentation, wherever required. Support in preparing the responses to audit queries, review observations and finance-related data submissions.

 

Skills and attributes

To qualify for the role you must have
Qualification

• Master in Business Administration (Finance)
• Master of Commerce

Experience

• government programme finance, public financial management, expenditure monitoring, audit support or infrastructure/project finance (5+ Years)
