What is the Position?
Evercore seeks to hire a Junior Associate or Senior Analyst for its Financial Institutions Group within our Advisory business to be based in New York, NY or Chicago, IL.
Primary Responsibilities:
Evercore's unique market position provides its junior bankers with the ability to work closely with senior bankers on differentiated and industry-transforming transactions in markets around the world. The small deal team structure provides junior bankers with an incomparable platform to learn investment banking while assuming very high levels of responsibility early in one’s career. As part of the team, the Associate / Senior Analyst will have the opportunity to work primarily on a range of M&A transactions as well as other strategic advisory assignments including: minority investments, special committee assignments, activism & raid defense, recapitalizations, balance sheet restructurings, and capital markets advisory, including debt and equity.
Specific Qualifications:
Candidates must have a strong and demonstrated interest in investment banking with solid quantitative and analytical skills, as well as the ability to think broadly about a range of strategic issues confronting the firm’s clients. Knowledge of accounting, valuation, corporate finance, and business strategy is a pre-requisite. Responsibilities for an Associate / Senior Analyst include managing junior analysts and working on financial and valuation analyses, complex financial and accounting issues, industry and competitive analysis, due diligence, client presentation materials, management and execution of live deal situations, and support of new business development.
Expected Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $185,000
