Position Summary:
The Facilities Planner/Scheduler is responsible for the administration and support for the maintenance work order system. This system is the primary tool used in managing break/fixes, preventive maintenance, and total preventive maintenance on equipment. Collaborates with other departments and divisions to manage work priorities, develop job plans, identify the necessary resources (parts, materials, supplies, skillset, and personnel) to complete projects. You will be responsible for coordinating and planning maintenance tasks, ensuring efficient resource allocation, and minimizing downtime. Your expertise in scheduling, coordination, and preventive and predictive maintenance will contribute to the overall effectiveness of our maintenance operations.
Compensation: $28-30 hourly range with actual pay dependent on candidate overall skills for the role.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
Work closely with maintenance and production teams to schedule, plan and coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance work orders
Review closed work orders for completeness and accuracy.
Report weekly maintenance performance and OEE(overall equipment effectiveness) metrics.
Enter changes to CMMS(computer maintenance management systems) preventive maintenance frequency and procedures based on feedback from data collected and from engineering, production and maintenance teams.
Coordinate with outside contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance work orders.
Coordinate with outside contractors to receive job bids and ability to create purchase requisition to keep facilities projects stay on schedule.
Plan and schedule activities of maintenance personnel to achieve efficient utilization of manpower, materials, and facilities.
Schedule maintenance of process equipment to avoid conflict with production and to avoid breakdowns.
Traits we believe make a strong candidate:
3 years of experience in a maintenance role in a manufacturing environment, planning experience preferred.
Motivated and self-directed team player with good interpersonal skills.
Experience in the use of a CMMS is required, SAP platform is desired.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Experience with managing, organizing, and maintaining inventory.
Demonstrated understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance practices.
Proficient in computer skills and Microsoft required.
High focus and emphasis on detail, safety, and quality.
Must be able to manage and balance multiple priorities with varying deadlines and ensure effective progression to completion.
Excellent team player who demonstrates leadership abilities.
