ABC7 Los Angeles has an incredible opportunity for a certified Meteorologist who is a weather expert in the studio and in the field. The ideal candidate must be a dynamic journalist and storyteller. This person can forecast and analyze weather conditions and tell the weather story in the most compelling way with a focus on public safety and service. The ideal candidate is committed to working in tandem with the entire weather team and always working to best utilize and optimize our weather technology. This weather expert is constantly exploring ways to reinvent and reimagine how weather is presented on all platforms. The ideal candidate also has experience in AR/VR and crafting and producing unique and impactful graphics to enhance and elevate weather storytelling.
This role is considered on-site, which means the employee will work from a company-designated location on an ongoing basis.

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $120,000 to $160,000 per year based on a 40 hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
