Job Title: Director - Artificial Intelligence Portfolio and Acceleration (Indra)
Location: London
Corporate Title: Director
You will join Deutsche Bank's Chief Strategy and Innovation Office as Director - Artificial Intelligence Portfolio & Acceleration, helping shape how Indra enables the Bank to realise its Artificial Intelligence strategy with pace, care and scale. You will oversee the Indra acceleration agenda, create a single integrated portfolio view, and connect teams across business, technology, innovation, architecture, risk, control and enablement so delivery activity translates into clear outcomes.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support senior stakeholders with concise insight, shared understanding and practical recommendations on progress, risks, dependencies, investment choices and delivery trade-offs. You will work together with expert teams to reduce friction across the Artificial Intelligence path to production, strengthen reuse and shared services, and support the safe growth of enterprise Artificial Intelligence capability across the Bank.
What we'll offer you
A healthy, engaged and well-supported workforce are better equipped to do their best work and, more importantly, enjoy their lives inside and outside the workplace. That's why we are committed to providing an environment with your development and wellbeing at its centre.
You can expect:
Competitive salary and non-contributory pension
30 days' holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days
Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family
A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits
The opportunity to support a wide ranging CSR programme + 2 days' volunteering leave per year
Your key responsibilities
Shape and maintain the enterprise-wide Indra acceleration plan, bringing together activity from Indra workstreams and cross-Bank teams to support faster Artificial Intelligence delivery from idea to production.
Identify blockers across the Artificial Intelligence lifecycle, including technology constraints, control approvals, data access, third-party risk management, platform readiness, engineering capacity, resourcing and dependencies.
Translate acceleration opportunities into clear plans with shared owners, outcomes, milestones, measures and escalation routes, supporting teams to turn insight into practical delivery progress.
Create and maintain an integrated view of the Indra delivery portfolio, covering strategic initiatives, platforms, shared services, operating model components, controls, innovation investments and delivery programmes.
Develop concise executive narratives, decision papers and reporting that help senior stakeholders understand what has changed, what matters, what is blocked and which choices require attention.
Support the Indra capability roadmap, working together with Artificial Intelligence Platforms, shared services, innovation, safety, demand and commercial delivery teams to encourage reuse, standardisation and scale.
Your skills and experience
Proven experience guiding complex technology, digital, Artificial Intelligence or enterprise transformation programmes in financial services or a similarly regulated environment.
Strong background in strategy execution, portfolio management, programme acceleration or major programme oversight, ideally with exposure to consulting, transformation or large-scale delivery environments.
Experience supporting portfolio, programme management office or programme control capabilities, with a focus on insight, value, shared understanding and clear action rather than activity reporting.
Skilled at connecting with senior stakeholders, risk and control partners, and technology delivery teams, with the ability to translate delivery constraints into practical recommendations.
Strong knowledge of Artificial Intelligence delivery, technology platforms, data, operating models and the considerations involved in moving use cases safely into production.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a structured, considerate approach to planning, dependency management, portfolio governance and executive-level materials.
