Deloitte’s Global Trade Advisory (GTA) practice helps importers and exporters improve trade compliance, increase process efficiency, and identify opportunities across global supply chains. As part of a global network of professionals, the team supports clients in strengthening import and export operations across jurisdictions.

Work you'll do
As a Tax Intern on the Global Trade Advisory (GTA) team, you will be responsible for:
- Support clients in assessing and automating international trade management processes
- Gather business and regulatory requirements and perform fit-gap analyses
- Assist with planning and evaluating automated import and export solutions
- Support the design, configuration, and development of trade compliance technology solutions
- Conduct testing and documentation for implemented solutions

The team
Deloitte’s Global Trade Advisory practice includes professionals with experience in global trade strategy, trade automation, export controls, and import and export compliance. The team helps clients improve compliance processes and implement technology-enabled solutions that support global trade operations.
Qualifications
Required:
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university and expected to graduate by Summer or Fall 2028 pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Political Science/International Studies, Supply Chain, Transportation, Logistics, Statistics, or Mathematics
- Strong academic track record (3.0 cumulative GPA required)
- You must reside within a commutable distance of your assigned office with the ability to commute daily, if required. You can expect to co-locate on average 2-3 times a week with variations based on types of work/projects and client locations
- Ability to attend all in person core programming sessions
- Ability to travel up to 80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment
- The start date for this position will be in Summer 2027
Preferred:
- Experience with data management and analysis through coursework, research, or internships
- Coursework or experience with US and non-US import regulations
- Coursework or experience with US and non-US export control regulations
- Coursework or experience with SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise resource planning systems
- Coursework or experience with global trade management software
- Relevant internship, research, or other academic work experience

The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25 to $48.
