We are looking for two driven, curious, and tech-savvy AI & Supply Chain Optimization Interns to join our Supply Chain Optimization team in Den Bosch, the Netherlands.
As part of the team, you will apply cutting-edge AI tools to support real-world planning and optimization challenges across Rail, Workforce, Logistics and Manufacturing, while gaining valuable hands-on experience.
In this role, you will work closely with senior domain experts and a fellow intern in a collaborative environment that encourages peer learning, knowledge sharing and problem-solving. From your first day, you will receive direct mentorship from experienced team members while collaborating with colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds across our global organization.
Role description & Responsibilities
- Leverage modern AI tools and techniques to build, automate, and refine:
o Interactive solution capability demos for internal and client stakeholders
o Test case generation and test automation workflows
o Standard project, system, and process documentation - Assist senior team members in designing, modeling and validating supply chain planning solutions
- Apply analytical models to industry-specific challenges in Rail, Workforce, Logistics and Manufacturing operations
- Present findings, proof-of-concept demos and automated workflows clearly to cross-functional global stakeholders
- Actively communicate, coordinate and collaborate with global team members from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Work closely with your intern peer in the NL office to brainstorm solutions, share knowledge, review work and tackle complex tasks together
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Econometrics, Engineering, Computer Science or another related quantitative or technical field
- Professional-level English, both written and spoken
- Practical experience or strong familiarity with AI tools (e.g., LLM APIs, code-generation tools, workflow automation) to streamline documentation, create demos and generate test cases.
- Academic or hands-on understanding of Supply Chain Planning & Optimization principles
- Knowledge of or strong interest in at least one of the following domains:
o Rail Planning / Workforce Scheduling / Logistics Operations
o Manufacturing Supply Chain Operations - Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly, respectfully and effectively across a global team of diverse cultures, time zones and language backgrounds
- Proactive, collaborative, open-minded and eager to learn directly from senior industry leaders and peers in an international environment
