About this Role:
Consertus is seeking an Assistant Construction Manager to support the Port of Seattle Aviation Capital Improvement Program (CIP) at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career construction professional looking to gain hands-on experience managing aviation and infrastructure projects in an active airport environment. You will work closely with experienced Construction Managers and Project Managers while developing skills in field coordination, project controls, contractor management, and stakeholder communication
Key Responsibilities:
Field Support & Coordination
Assist with day-to-day construction activities on active project sites.
Support coordination between contractors, inspectors, airport operations, and project stakeholders.
Observe construction progress and help ensure work is completed according to plans and specifications.
Participate in site walks, inspections, and project meetings.
Project Documentation & Reporting
Maintain project records, meeting notes, and field reports.
Track project milestones, schedules, and action items.
Assist with reviewing project documentation, including RFIs, submittals, and change requests.
Support preparation of weekly and monthly project updates.
Stakeholder Communication
Collaborate with project teams, consultants, and contractors.
Attend coordination and safety meetings.
Help facilitate communication between field teams and project leadership.
Safety & Quality
Promote and support jobsite safety practices.
Assist with monitoring quality standards and compliance requirements.
Follow airport security and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications:
1-2 years of experience in construction, engineering, project coordination, internships, or related field experience.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Aviation, or a related discipline preferred.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
Willingness to work on-site at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
Preferred Qualifications:
Internship or project experience in construction, infrastructure, or aviation projects.
Familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, or other construction software.
Exposure to project scheduling, estimating, or field engineering.
OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification (or willingness to obtain).
Working Hours:
Full‑time, on‑site role at SEA Airport
Compensation Range
$70,000 - $83,000 annually, based on experience and location.
