+ Read and interpret blueprints + Apply mathematics to solve problems + Assist in fabricating and installing gaskets and pipe fit + Assist in performing cutting/threading operations using a machine + Assist in using measuring tools and portable power tools + Assist in making decisions based on measurable criteria + Testing pipe and tube installations + Secure pipes to structure with bracket, clamps, and hangers, using hand and power tools + Assist in fabricating and installing pipe systems, hangers, supports, valves and components + Assist in lifting, positioning and securing of material and work pieces during installation + Rigging material and equipment + Fabricating pipe systems and piping spools + Perform clean up duties and spotting on all activities + Elevated work under 6ft or 6ft and higher + Use hand tools and power tools + Cutting pipe with bandsaw, cutting disc and cutting material with oxygen/acetylene torch and plasma cutter + Running a beveling machine and ability to bevel pipe + Bolt up equipment and flangers + Thread pipe + Layout piping systems + Perform hydrostatic and pneumatic tests + Performs other duties as assigned + Complies with all policies and standards
Qualifications REQUIREMENTS+ Minimum of 4 years’ experience + Must be able to assess through Burns and McDonnell assessment program
PHYSICAL DEMANDS+ Ability to stand, walk, sit, or reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, crawl, push and pull + Ability to use repetitive hand motions and the ability to grasp and operate field tools and equipment + Ability to climb on, in or through equipment in confined spaces and elevated work using fall protection harnesses + Ability to work long hours with infrequent days off, night shifts, and in adverse climates + Ability to use respirators or Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus + Ability to utilize vision abilities including close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus + Ability to lift, carry and or move up to 50 pounds + Ability to work in an environment with loud noises and vibrations for extended periods of time + Ability to properly wear and/or use Personal Protection Equipment
