Job Description
As the Foreign Trade Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of import and export compliance, driving duty savings, and managing international trade processes for Bosch Thailand. You will lead a team and collaborate with regional and global stakeholders to ensure efficient and compliant trade operations.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Compliance: Supervise the Foreign Trade Thailand team and ensure full compliance with export/import regulations. This includes managing initiatives related to Country of Origin, and Harmonized Parts Classification.
- Duty Optimization: Proactively identify and implement duty reduction opportunities.This includes applying/validating parts classifications and customs rulings to minimize cost.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement risk assessments and gap analyses on international trade issues, ensuring compliance with Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and other global/national standards.
- Performance Management: Track the performance of customs service providers and compliance programs through established KPIs. Prepare Foreign Trade saving reports and conduct service level analysis.
- Process Improvement: Develop and manage internal control programs for trade compliance, and define/implement preventive measures, e.g Import Control System (ICS) checks.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with all related parties in the ASEAN/APAC region on TAX, foreign trade and strategic projects.
- Audit Management: Manage external customs audits (e.g., Post Audit, Surprise checks) and internal customs audits (CAU).
- Project Coordination: Act as a project coordinator for the Foreign Trade Master Data,leveraging engineering-related background information to translate into duty savings for the entity.
Qualifications
- · Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, Law, financing or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
- · Experience: A minimum of 7-10 years of progressive experience in foreign trade,customs compliance, financing or logistics management, preferably within a multinational manufacturing environment.
- Leadership: Proven experience in leading and developing a team.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Thai Customs regulations, Free Trade Agreements (FTAs), and international trade laws.
- Strong understanding of HS code classification and customs valuation.
- Experience with SAP and foreign trade master data management is strong advantage.
- Language: Excellent command of English (spoken and written) is mandatory. German is a plus.
