Job Description:
This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
Responsibilities:
Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
Automates manual release activities
Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of relevant work experience
Proficiency in programming language(s) required for the role
Develops, enhances, debugs, supports, maintains and tests software applications that support business units or supporting functions.
May provide technical direction and system architecture for individual initiatives.
May collaborate with external programmers to coordinate delivery of software application.
Routine accountability is for technical knowledge and capabilities.
Works under minimal supervision, with general guidance from more seasoned consultants.
Serves as a fully seasoned/proficient technical resource.
Python/Java/SQL/MuleSoft development
Java Frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Struts
JDBC, Oracle 11g+, MS SQL Server 2019+
Experience working with IBM WebSphere MQ 6+, Queues, Topics, Channels, Publish/Subscribe, Apache & Tomcat
UML for creating Sequence Diagrams, Deployment Diagrams, Activity Diagrams etc
Develop Soap and RESTful webservices using JAXWS, JAXRS and Spring
Develop Message Oriented applications using Spring JMS, WebSphere MQ
Develop backend processing jobs using Spring
Frontend Web Application development using HTML, JavaScript, AJAX, JSP, Struts, JSF, HTML 5/CSS
Desired Qualifications:
Proficient in using Agile Methodologies and Rally software
Knowledge of full software development life cycle, including writing stories, low level documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing.
Enterprise integrations patterns
Software Engineering patterns
Rules development using iLog/ODM
Mortgage Domain knowledge is a Plus
