This job is responsible for developing and delivering complex requirements to accomplish business goals. Key responsibilities of the job include ensuring that software is developed to meet functional, non-functional and compliance requirements, and solutions are well designed with maintainability/ease of integration and testing built-in from the outset. Job expectations include a strong knowledge of development and testing practices common to the industry and design and architectural patterns.
The individual in this role is responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. They are the primary contributor to the creation of infrastructure tools and their integration as an infrastructure service. The role facilitates deployment of technical solution by developing templates, playbooks and automation used during implementation. They consistently look for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency when implementing and maintaining infrastructure tools and/or services. This individual embraces a culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
- Provides subject matter expertise and consulting services on a range of technologies and assists Technical Analysts and Infrastructure Engineers to ensure that technology solutions comply with enterprise system design and engineering standards
- Assists with translating business requirements into technical definitions, reference models, blueprints, and playbooks for deployment in compliance with architecture standards and policies
- Assists in the evaluation of reference models, blueprints and playbooks to ensure they are fit for purpose
- Develops software solutions to address manual and repeatable work or inefficient processes
- Conducts on-site evaluations of third-party products being considered for firm adoption
- Promotes an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
- Contributes to the creation/selection of functional and non-functional product evaluation requirements within and across domains

- Act as a consultant on a range of technologies where he or she is a subject matter expert
- Promote an inclusive and healthy working environment and help to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
- Codes solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements
- Designs, develops, and modifies architecture components, application interfaces, and solution enablers while ensuring principal architecture integrity is maintained
- Mentors other software engineers and coach team on Continuous Integration and Continuous Development (CI-CD) practices and automating tool stack
- Executes story refinement, definition of requirements, and estimating work necessary to realize a story through the delivery lifecycle
- Performs spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas
- Automates manual release activities
- Designs, develops, and maintains automated test suites (integration, regression, performance)
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in platform, systems, or infrastructure engineering, with a strong focus on automation and integration
- Hands-on experience designing and delivering automated Windows or Linux Server OS provisioning for on‑prem or internal cloud environments
- Strong Windows or Linux Server administration expertise (OS configuration, patching, roles/features, networking, storage, and security)
- Proficiency in PowerShel, shell scripting and Python, with experience building maintainable automation tools and workflows
- Experience with automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible or similar), and scripting with Python or equivalent
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, validation, and deployments
- Experience integrating provisioning workflows with platform services such as virtualization, networking, identity, monitoring, and configuration management systems
- Strong focus on testing and reliability, including automated integration/validation testing and troubleshooting of complex workflows
