Introduction to the job

Do you aspire a position in which your data-driven insights are used to drive business decisions? At ASML the Reuse & Repair analytics team creates value from data, by generating insights and industrializing models on different topics across sectors.

In this role you will support the generation of business insights by using a combination of cross-sector data sources and applying leading analytics tools and technologies on these sources in order to enable optimization of ASML and customer value. This helps prioritize business initiatives and to initiate change.

Role and responsibilities

As a business analyst you will be part of the Reuse & Repair analytics team, where you will be working performance related analytics as well as on a diverse portfolio of projects related to bottom- and top-line improvements. In this role, you will closely collaborate with both in sector as well as cross sector stakeholders from the Strategic Sourcing & Procurement sector, Planning and Delivery sector, Design & Engineering sector, etc.

Furthermore you will:

• Support the monthly performance cycle with progress on KPI's & targets
• Generate business insights by translating data into visuals, reports and dashboard;.
• Support in formulating problem statement and performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends and patterns;
• Apply leading analytics tools and technologies to develop in-depth understanding of structured and unstructured data on the topic at hand;
• Interact with technical and non-technical (cross-sector) stakeholders and be able to present and explain analytical problems, approach, results and recommendations. 
   

Education and experience

• 3 – 6 years work experience in analytical roles.
• A Master’s degree with a substantial quantitative focus is a must. We prefer a background in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Econometrics with a strong affinity with business management and analytics or Business Management, Finance or Economics.

We are looking for a high potential business analyst who is willing to learn and challenge him-/herself and has:

• Experience with data analysis and analytics tools and techniques;
• Ability to apply appropriate analysis techniques;
• Business acumen and ability to make the step from theoretical models to creating business impact; 
• Experience with Databases, MS Azure, PowerBI, Spotfire and/or Python;
• Keen attention to detail;
• Curiosity to understand the intricacies of the status-quo.

The R&R sector focuses on the challenges of reusing and repairing the materials that go into our systems around the world.

This job position is part of the Distributed Analytics Network (DAN, a network consisting of analytics entities (called Analytics ‘Nodes’) throughout the different sectors at ASML. The main objective of the DAN network is to create an aligned way of working across the organization, to bring our ASML’s analytics capabilities to the next level. Being part of DAN gives you exposure to multiple teams and parts of our organization and unlocks wide growth opportunities for all our members.
