Within the Electronics Development (EDEV) cluster at ASML, teams design and optimize critical cable systems used in advanced machines. In this internship you will explore innovative ways to replace traditional cable labeling. The internship focuses on evaluating printed marking solutions that could reduce cost and simplify assembly processes. Your work in this internship will help improve manufacturability and reliability. If you enjoy combining research with practical engineering challenges, this internship offers a valuable learning opportunity.
In this internship, you will investigate and assess alternatives to traditional cable labeling methods. You will compare solutions, validate their performance, and translate findings into clear recommendations. Your work will directly support decision-making within engineering teams.
Your main responsibilities will be:
Perform market research on suppliers and technologies for direct cable printing
Analyze and compare different printing solutions and approaches
Evaluate readability, contrast, and long-term legibility of printed markings
Assess durability under mechanical, thermal, and environmental conditions
Investigate compatibility with cleanroom and industrial environments
Compare solutions with current labeling in cost, manufacturability, and robustness
Summarize findings and provide a clear recommendation based on evidence
This is a bachelor non-thesis internship from 3–6 months, minimum 3 days per week (1 day on-site). The start date of this internship is as of September 2026.
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are pursuing a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, electro-mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field
Have strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills
Are proactive and able to work independently
Communicate clearly in English (written and verbal)
Are collaborative and comfortable interacting with stakeholders and suppliers
