The Ring Hardware Compliance Team is looking for an EMC Compliance Engineer to support global regulatory certification for Ring and Blink products.
In this role, you will:
- Lead EMC and wireless regulatory certification (FCC, CE/RED, MIC, NCC/BSMI, etc.)
- Conduct pre-compliance testing and debug EMC issues during product development
- Collaborate with EE and ME teams to resolve compliance challenges
- Manage external test lab coordination and certification submissions
- Support products from early design phase through mass production
Key job responsibilities
- Manage EMC/RF compliance certification projects from design phase through mass production, including timeline planning, milestone tracking, and risk management
- Coordinate with external test laboratories and certification bodies to ensure on-time certification delivery
- Plan and execute pre-compliance and compliance testing for Ring and Blink products
- Debug and troubleshoot EMC failures, and work with EE teams to implement design fixes
- Track multiple concurrent certification projects across different product lines and global markets (FCC, CE/RED, MIC, NCC/BSMI, etc.)
- Review product designs at early stages to identify potential compliance risks
- Prepare and maintain certification documents including Declaration of Conformity (DoC)
- Monitor global regulatory updates and assess impact on existing and new products
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (EE, ME, PM, Supply Chain) to align compliance milestones with product launch schedules
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
- 6+ years of working in mechanical engineering or equivalent experience
- BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
