The Senior Manager, UTR Process Improvement, Last Mile Delivery Operations will own the design, standardization, and continuous improvement of Under-The-Roof (UTR) delivery station processes across their regional span of control. This role carries direct accountability for UTR KPI improvement — including inbound-to-stow cycle time, dispatch readiness, package integrity (DPMO), stow accuracy, RTS processing efficiency, and station-to-station process variance reduction.
This leader will identify systemic UTR breakdowns through data analysis, design scalable countermeasures, and drive adoption through change management — working shoulder-to-shoulder with Regional Directors and Station Leaders rather than from a separate advisory org.
Key job responsibilities
Own regional UTR process standardization; identify and eliminate root causes behind station-to-station performance variance in core process paths (inbound, stow, pick & stage, dispatch, RTS)
Drive measurable reduction in UTR-driven losses (misroutes, DPMO, stow defects, ageing inventory) through process redesign and operational controls
Design station-level process controls that reduce dependency on tribal knowledge, improve new-station ramp curves, and enable consistent execution across shifts and headcount variability
Lead process engineering for hub model UTR integration — defining SOPs, exception handling, and volume-flex triggers for hub-spoke inbound/outbound flows
Sponsor and execute CI initiatives (Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma) with direct ownership of project outcomes and measurable business impact on UTR metrics
Build and maintain regional UTR process health dashboards; run operational reviews focused on process compliance, defect elimination, and capacity utilization
Serve as Single Threaded Leader for one or more UTR process-path swimlanes (e.g., inbound-to-stow, dispatch readiness, RTS cycle time)
Partner with Regional Directors to ensure UTR process improvements translate into on-road performance gains (route readiness, OFD attainment)
People leader responsible for a team of UTR process improvement specialists; accountable for team development and organizational health
