You will work with exceptional engineers for investigating, designing, implementing, testing, and supporting software for Inductively Coupled Plasma Mass Spectrometer (ICP-MS) used in the chemical analysis and life science industry. You will help the product owner develop external specifications of software corresponding to requirement specifications. Then, the project manager will give you external specifications, and you need to understand them correctly and implement them on time. You will be assigned defect fixes. After you investigate the root cause of the defect, you need to fix it. You will support inexperienced developers technically. You will explore the introduction of new technologies and the development environment.
Musts
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Sciences (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Electronics, Mechanics, Information Technologies, Computer Science or equivalent is preferred)
- 5+ years software development experience
- 3+ years object oriented programing experience
- Windows application development experience
- Willingness to learn and master new technologies
- Scientific background to understand the analytical instruments
- Interest and ability in analytical instrument development
- Positive and proactive problem solving approach
- English writing and reading skill
- Willingness to learn and master verbal communication in English
- Written and verbal communications skills in Japanese
Wants
Skill or experience in the following areas would be a plus, but aren't required.
- Windows application development experience using .NET framework and C#
- Distributed system development experience
- Database programing experience
- Hardware control windows application development experience
- Analysis equipment operation experience, especially quadrupole mass spectrometer operation experience
