The Opportunity

Shape the Future of Energy Systems – Join WSP’s Overhead Transmission Lines team in Toronto and help design medium to extra-high voltage transmission lines, structures, and foundations that keep communities connected and powered. This role offers hands-on experience in power delivery and the chance to work on impactful projects across Canada and the US, supported by coaching and training to advance your career.

Your Impact

• Support the design and delivery of transmission line projects, studies, and initiatives across Canada and the US.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative solutions for power delivery systems.
• Prepare technical drawings, models, reports, and calculations that influence project decisions.
• Apply engineering principles to real-world challenges in energy infrastructure and sustainability.
• Contribute to project reviews and ensure compliance with industry standards and WSP quality expectations.

The Skills That Set You Apart

• Degree or Diploma in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related discipline.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license.
• Strong interest in consulting engineering and the power delivery industry.
• Familiarity with tools such as AutoCAD or other design/analysis software.
• Previous engineering design or drafting experience, ideally in civil or electrical engineering.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Legally authorized to work permanently in Canada without sponsorship.

Compensation

BC, AB, SK, NWT & NU: $66,700 – $88,400
MB & ON: $60,900 – $83,800
Atlantic Provinces & QC: $60,300 – $80,000
