Energy systems across Canada are evolving rapidly. This opportunity places you at the intersection of telecommunications networks, power systems, and digital resilience, supporting modernization initiatives that strengthen the reliability, security, and performance of critical energy infrastructure.
You will contribute to projects that enable grid digitalization, cybersecurity readiness, and long‑term operational resilience for power generation and distribution environments.
Your Impact
- Deliver telecommunications and network engineering expertise for power generation and distribution systems
- Contribute to grid modernization and digital transformation programs across the energy sector
- Support the planning, design, implementation, testing, and commissioning of networked infrastructure
- Translate technical solutions into clear, actionable insights for clients and senior stakeholders
- Participate in cybersecurity risk, threat, and vulnerability assessments for critical assets
- Review technical designs and specifications from vendors and project partners
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering, construction, and operations teams
- Support client relationships and contribute to proposal development when required
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Degree in telecommunications, networking, computer engineering, or a related discipline
- A minimum of five years of experience in industrial telecommunications or network engineering, ideally within the energy or utilities sector
- Working knowledge of IEC 61850 digital substations, transmission and distribution automation, and OT/IT network architectures
- Familiarity with cybersecurity standards and frameworks such as NERC CIP, IEC 62443, NIST, or ISO 2700x
- Experience with industrial communication protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNP3, Modbus, OPC UA)
- Professional engineering designation (P.Eng.) or eligibility to obtain one is an asset
- Bilingual French and English is considered an asset

Compensation
- AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $104,100 – $138,000
- MB & ON: $95,000 – $130,800
- NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $94,100 – $124,900
