Senior Mechanical Engineer - Wellington
Fantastic opportunity for a commercially and technically focused Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Engineering Services team.
Your day to day responsibilities will include:
- Providing technical, commercial and people leadership to the Wellington Building Engineering Services team and as part of the broader Building Engineering Services sub-sector.
- Contributing to the success of the New Zealand Property & Buildings sector and Building Engineering Services sub-sector by managing selected clients and completion of engineering design and analysis for specific projects.
- Monitoring physical works contracts and provide effective contract management through to project completion.
- Working closely with internal Project Managers to ensure that appropriate engineers, technical reviewers and design verifiers are allocated to each project
- Assisting in the preparation of bids and proposals as required
- Participating in appropriate and effective relationship management for key clients. Obtain a clear understanding of their business and solutions required to meet both their immediate and future needs.
- Ensuring bids and services to clients meet the needs of the client, and that team members understand the client’s business and requirements.
- Completing monthly financial management processes are completed in a timely manner, including billing, monthly financial and progress reports, change management and monitoring project spend.
About you:
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent
- CPEng or in process of obtaining CPEng
- Minimum of 7 years’ professional experience in Building Services or a related discipline.
- Strong market connections - particularly in Health, Private Developers, Local Government, and / or Data Centres
