WSP is currently initiating a search for a Construction Inspector for our Columbia, MD office. This candidate will serve as a Construction Inspector to support our Construction Management and Inspection services related to Water and Wastewater infrastructure projects in Anne Arundel County, MD.
Your Impact
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide daily site inspections to ensure compliance with approved plans, specifications and codes and maintain up-to-date project records.
- Review Contractor submittals, requests for information, change order requests, and as-built drawings.
- Measure and record pay items.
- Coordinate job progress meeting.
- Communicate conditions and field conflicts/changes to Owner.
- Provide recommendation for field issues.
- Work closely with others team members, along with personnel from utilities, state, local, and federal agencies.
- Demonstrate independent and effective problem solving/decision making.
- Must be fluent in both written and spoken English.
Who You Are
Minimum Requirements:
- High-School Diploma
- 0-2 years of construction inspection experience
- Experience in field inspection, or construction supervision of civil works projects (earthwork, roads, utilities, infrastructure, paving, piping, HVAC, etc.)
- Must possess knowledge and experience in ASTM, ACI, and other miscellaneous construction testing requirements, as well as knowledge in construction inspection procedures, and inspections methodologies, including the use of nuclear gauges, concrete sampling, and construction safety.
- Must have proficient verbal and written communication and organizational skills.
- Enthusiastic to learn and capable to lift up to 50lbs. #LI-JR1

Compensation:
Expected Salary (all locations): $22-26/hour
