Consultant - Environmental Planner
WSPRole Summary
As a “Consultant - Environmental Planner” within the WSP Earth & Environment team, you will be working with multi-disciplinary project teams on large scale infrastructure projects. You will be primarily engaged in Consenting & Compliance, Environmental & Social Impact Assessments and Stakeholder Engagements. An ideal candidate will possess/develop strong understanding of extant legislative policies, have strong data analytics skills, engage in mitigation design/planning and develop reports and support consenting processes.

• Fluent in spoken and written English and able to present ideas, complex technical information and advice in a way that is understandable to a wide range of audiences.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to collate and comprehend data from multiple disparate sources; Strong GIS skills and able to present complex geo-spatial insights.
• Able to identify mitigation measures that would reduce potential negative impacts and enhance potential beneficial impacts.
• Able to work effectively and competently with people at all levels; within and external to the organisation; Able to work collaboratively and perform effectively as part of a team across a geographically spread matrix structure.

Qualifications
• Postgraduate Degree in Environmental Planning (eg. from SPAs etc.) or Environmental Engineering/Science (eg. from IITs/NITs/IISc etc.)
• Membership of a SocEnv licensed professional organisation like IEMA, CIEEM etc; Chartered status preferred.
• Experience of working on overseas (UK/AU/NZ) assignments around Stakeholder Engagements, Environmental & Social Impact Assessments, Consenting and Complinace will be given high preference.
