WSP has upcoming municipal roadway and utility upgrade projects across several communities in Nova Scotia. This work directly supports safer, more sustainable local infrastructure—improving how residents move, connect, and access essential services.
In this role, you will join our team as a Road Construction Technician – Ticket Collector, a trusted on‑site representative helping ensure quality, compliance, and safe delivery across multiple municipal construction projects.
This is atemporary position for approximately 4 months in Cape Breton, NS
Your Impact
• You’ll collect weigh scale tickets from truck drivers delivering materials to the site.
• You’ll track and organise tickets for trucks loading and hauling materials such as gravel, dirt, and asphalt.
• You’ll record truck details, material types, and quantities accurately.
• You’ll summarise tickets and compile daily material quantity records.
• You’ll verify deliveries to ensure materials hauled match what was ordered.
• You’ll support accurate inventory control by maintaining clear and complete records.
• You’ll communicate professionally with drivers and site personnel during daily operations.
The Skills That Set You Apart
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and in construction environments.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• Experience working in the construction industry or related field work is considered an asset, but not a requirement.
• A valid Nova Scotia driver’s licence and a clean Driver’s Abstract.

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $57,500 – $76,200
MB & ON: $52,500 – $73,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $52,000 – $69,000
