The Opportunity – Build the Future with Us
Be part of a major construction program in Prince Rupert, BC, supporting the delivery of a complex, high‑profile infrastructure replacement project. As a Construction Field Inspector (Intermediate to Senior), you’ll play a critical role in ensuring quality, safety, and compliance on site—either by living in Prince Rupert for the duration of the project or by working a 2‑weeks‑in / 2‑weeks‑out rotation as part of a collaborative field team.
This is an opportunity to contribute directly to a landmark project while building long‑term career momentum with WSP.
Your Impact
- Inspect construction activities to verify compliance with project specifications, drawings, standards, and regulatory requirements
- Monitor contractor performance and workmanship across civil, geotechnical, and associated infrastructure scopes
- Document field activities through daily reports, photos, deficiency tracking, and progress updates
- Support health, safety, and environmental compliance on site, promoting a strong safety culture
- Coordinate with contractors, project managers, engineers, and client representatives to resolve field issues
- Identify non‑conformances and support corrective actions to keep work moving safely and efficiently
- Contribute to successful project delivery in a northern and logistically complex environment
The Skills That Set You Apart
- Diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5+ years of progressive construction inspection experience on large, multi‑disciplinary projects
- Strong understanding of civil, geotechnical, and infrastructure construction practices
- Experience working on active construction sites
- Familiarity with quality control, inspection documentation, and deficiency management
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a field‑based project team
- Willingness to reside in Prince Rupert or work a 2‑in / 2‑out rotational schedule
- Valid driver’s license and ability to meet site safety requirements

Compensation
AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YT: $77,400 – $102,500
MB & ON: $70,600 – $97,200
NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $69,900 – $92,900
